About Carol Joy

Since 1997, Carol Joy has been in the administrative field.  For 16 years, she has worked for various companies.  In 2013 she branched out with her own business. For the past 11 years she has helped many clients in various areas with structuring and organizing their company accounts and records including legal filings and documentation. 

She currently specializes in helping small businesses and nonprofits with branding logos, websites, business cards, as well as social media outlets.

Carol Joy’s Bio

At a young age, Carol Joy was both very creative and also had the mathematical organizational mind. She enjoyed playing the flute in concert band and twirling the rifle in marching band. In seventh grade, she started her love for traveling when her band was invited to Vienna, Austria for a competition nationwide. They were awarded second place in the world. She then went on through school showing leadership qualities and received a scholarship for college called the “Presidents Leadership Class”.

Carol Joy’s first job was in a women’s clothing retail shop. She had a passion for fashion and design in the store.  There she found that she thrived in creating new and innovative looks.  She soon got into management and for several years traveling from store to store creating displays and opening stores throughout the United States.  She received various awards in store competitions and was awarded a 10 day cruise.  Carol Joy went on the President’s honorary trip for being one of the top stores in the company.

After that, she started working with her administrative skills working in banking and other service companies. Some administrative areas were in receivables and payables.  When her and her husband, David, moved to Santa Barbara, CA she became an executive assistant for a tax accountant who specialized in real estate business. She worked for him for 10 years. With her creative and organizational skills, she started different ways of organizing the books and receivables for this firm. She went up in the company specializing in SubChapter S Corporation formations processing them from the beginning to the end completing their start up in the state of California. Then she became Agent For Service for these corps keeping them in good standing with the Secretary of State by annually filing the Statement of Information, and processing their annual minutes.

In 2013, Carol Joy created her own SubChapter S Corporation and became business partners with her boss. As he moved away, she kept his tax business going.  She was the stateside partner working with the clients receiving their tax documents, which he would receive and process the taxes, and she would finish with the client. Carol Joy would do all the administration stateside.  Her business started growing with clients that she would help out administratively for their businesses and organizing their office and their books. She has been working with a client since 2013 who had over ten various LLC’s working in the real estate business. She helped that client organize her books and create different forms from Excel and Microsoft Word to keep each of these businesses books.  Carol Joy organized many of the office structures for these companies.

Because Carol Joy thrives from being creative, her passion is to help nonprofits with their administrative work and Website/YouTube design to help build their brand.  This business has became prevalent. She is currently working on a website for a nonprofit that has taken off since she started it.  She really believes this is the direction her business will thrive and excel.

Since 2015 Carol Joy’s hobby has been oil painting.  She enjoys painting landscapes and sea escapes, and has done a few other types of paintings.  As she kept painting, Carol Joy started giving away many of her pieces to friends and family. Then she started selling her works in 2023.

Presently she and her husband are making arrangements to move to France. They want to start their new life in Strasbourg, France traveling and enjoying the sites. She is looking to expand her business and do her freelance work while being in France so that they can sustain themselves while they are there.
